The Gutter’s own Carol Borden has a little piece on Vera Drew’s The People’s Joker (USA, 2022). “I wish The People’s Joker could just be a film about Joker the Harlequin’s experience and we could watch it as one movie among others. I wish I could anticipate a follow up, Batquin Forever. I would love if we were in a place where the film about an existential issue did not have to be, in itself, an existential assertion and a proud fuck you to the people who fear Trans authenticity.”
