The Gutter’s own Carol has some thoughts on 4 horror movies that screened at this year’s Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans! “This year I was fortunate enough to attend–remotely–the 2024 Overlook Film Festival. I would have loved to attend a horror film festival in New Orleans. I wanted to watch so many of the films, both new and classics with filmmakers in attendance, but the line-up was excellent regardless. I still plan to watch more now that many are available already in theaters and streaming, or have been picked up for distribution and will be available in the future. But there is only so much time and so many available screeners, so here are the four films I saw at this year’s Overlook Film Festival, stories of vampires, ghosts, werewolves, a cursed song, and the haunted past.”
