The Gutter’s own Carol Borden has some thoughts on Caroline Golum’s Revelations of Divine Love (USA, 2025): “Revelations of Divine Love is a wonderfully handcrafted and stylized film. It reminds me of the best of early theater—or even community theater. People come together with no money and use all their talents to make something wonderful. The actors are skilled, but there are no big names—or even medium names. The sets, miniatures, special effects and costumes are all scrappy and handcrafted. There is no money for location shooting. But all of it is perfect for the film and the expected audience is practiced in the suspension of disbelief.”
