If you are the kind of viewer who needs to know whether you are watching a psychological thriller, a horror movie or a science fiction film in order to set your expectations, The Guest Room, might be frustrating or even disappointing. But I am the kind of person who very much genre-bending and genre-blending. So for me, The Guest Room is a nice, tight little film that relies heavily on the actors’ performances, the atmosphere and even the design.”
