At Biff Bam Pop, the Gutter’s own Sachin Hingoo along with Karen Shute report on their first screenings at this year’s TIFF, including the newly restored version of Ken Russell’s The Devils (1971), Miwa Nishikawa’s Children Untold (2026), Theo Rhys’ Stuffed (2026), and Nyla Innuksuk’s In The Heart Of The South (2026) with a little mention of Lynne Stopkewich’s Kissed (2026).

If that’s not a picture-perfect cross-section of the kind of storytelling that TIFF offers in a single day, I’m not sure what is. And that’s just Day One.”
