The Gutter’s own Beth has curated a list of 10 songs / “song picturizations” from Hindi film for a museum event showcasing Hindi film music to people who have potentially never seen a Bollywood film. It’s a pretty sweet list. Beth describes the process: “I crowdsourced suggestions from twitter and then hand-picked the ones I thought would work best for an event where the songs had to stand alone without the context of the film or any introduction! I also aimed to give some historical diversity, show a few different major film stars, and include examples of different types of songs.”
